FxPro demo account Australia

Practice tickets on MT4, MT5, or cTrader before you fund size.

75%+ of retail investor accounts lose money trading CFDs.

Why demo first

A demo lets you learn platform buttons, margin impact, and order types without depositing. It will not replicate live emotions or every fill quality. Use it anyway before a serious first deposit. August 2026.

Open demo from official FxPro flows linked through our partner URL, then graduate to live only after entity checks on legal Australia. FxPro is not AFSL-licensed and not ASIC-regulated. Australian clients are commonly reported via FxPro UK Limited (FCA FRN 509956). Verify. AFCA does not apply.

What to practice on demo

Run the same stack you plan to use live: MT4, MT5, or cTrader. Place market, limit, and stop orders. Attach stop-loss and take-profit. Partial-close a winner. Modify a working order. Check margin used after a news spike on a volatile pair. Journal the clock difference between Sydney wall time and the chart server time.

If you scalp, practice ticket size that matches your intended live risk in dollar terms, not "demo funny money" lot sizes that would wipe a real Wallet. If you trade index CFDs around the Australian cash close, rehearse gap scenarios on demo first. Platform notes: platforms. Short-hold notes: scalping.

Demo spreads and liquidity can look cleaner than live during thin hours. Treat demo P&L as a UI drill, not proof your edge works. When you move to live, start with a small deposit and a tiny round-turn before scaling. See minimum deposit and deposits.

Demo limits that matter

Virtual balance removes fear. Fear is part of live trading. Demo also skips deposit declines, name-matching fails, and withdrawal compliance checks. Those ops steps sit on the live path only. A trader who "crushes demo" and then freezes on the first live withdrawal is not ready.

Some demos expire or reset. Confirm current demo terms in the official signup flow. Do not assume every symbol available on marketing pages is enabled on your demo entity path. Instrument lists follow the account you open.

AUD wallets are a live funding topic more than a demo topic. Still, pick a demo base currency that matches how you think in AUD so your risk units translate. AUD is listed as an FxPro account currency on the Gen-Info GM PDF; verify live Wallet options when you open funded accounts.

From demo to live checklist

  1. Confirm you understand FxPro is not ASIC-regulated and AFCA does not apply on the commonly reported FCA UK path.
  2. Save the entity name and agreement PDF when you open live.
  3. Fund a test amount, not your full planned allocation.
  4. Place one micro live ticket on the platform you practiced.
  5. Withdraw a partial amount before you scale.
  6. Only then move size toward your intended Wallet.

Open live via the same partner link after the checklist, not before. Related: open account, review, FAQ.

Session drills that transfer

Run three structured sessions before you fund. Session one: platform literacy only. Session two: risk units sized as if the Wallet were real AUD. Session three: a mock news window where you refuse to click during the first sixty seconds after a print. Journal what you almost did wrong.

If you cannot follow those rules on demo, a live AUD Wallet will not invent discipline. Pair demo work with the legal facts on legal Australia so you do not confuse UI comfort with regulatory comfort. FxPro is not ASIC-regulated. AFCA does not apply on the commonly reported FCA path.

When you are ready, open live via the partner link, fund small, and repeat one of the drills with real fills. Then withdraw partial. That sequence beats "I made 40% on demo last night."

Mobile vs desktop

Mobile demos are fine for chart watching. Serious order entry practice belongs on the desktop build you will use with size. One-click trading settings deserve a deliberate on/off decision. Hotkeys that fire market orders on a wrong chart are an expensive joke on live.

VPS and EA users should test reconnect behaviour on demo first. A strategy that assumes perfect uptime will surprise you when the VPS reboots mid-trade. None of that is unique to FxPro; it is unique to skipping rehearsal.
